Tallest Building in São Paulo to Be Inaugurated

Located in the neighborhood of Tatuapé, Platina 220 has 46 floors

Platina 220, the 172-meter high building with 46 floors, will be inaugurated on Monday (5) in the Tatuapé neighborhood (east side of São Paulo).

The building, which includes residential apartments, a hotel, and office spaces, takes the title of the tallest building in the capital of São Paulo, from Mirante do Vale, in the central region, by two meters.

On the first floor of the Platina 220 are located the common areas of the 80 residential apartments and the hotel, with 190 rooms. Both occupy the second to tenth floors.

Above are the office spaces, from the 11th to the 24th floor, and the corporate areas, from the 25th to the 46th floor.

According to Porte Engenharia, the real estate development company responsible for executing the project, the idea is to have the site serve as a business hub on the east side, in order to decentralize the companies' constant demand for space in central areas of the city.

The building can be seen from Avenida Alcântara Machado, three kilometers from the address.

Representatives of the real state development company did not want to comment on sales prices, but the report found out that the 80 apartments, with floor plans ranging from 35 m² to 70 m², must be sold for, at least, R$ 700 thousand each.
