Country totals 1.8 million infected and more than 71 thousand deaths in the pandemic

With more than 1.8 million infected by Covid-19, this Monday (13), Brazil registered 770 deaths due to the new coronavirus. The country had a moving average of 1,052 daily deaths between 6 and 13 July.

The moving average is a statistical resource that seeks to give a more accurate view of the evolution of the disease. It attenuates isolated numbers that deviate from the pattern. It is calculated by adding the result of the last seven days, dividing by seven.

Brazil accumulated 72,921 deaths from Covid-19. Exactly 1,887,959 people have been infected with the virus since March. On Monday, there were 21,783 new case records.

According to the Ministry of Health, Brazil has accumulated 20,286 cases and 733 deaths from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. Since the beginning of the pandemic, the total has already reached 72,833 deaths from the new disease and 1,884,967 cases.
