Brazil's National Vaccination against Covid Expected to Start this Monday (18)

Governors and minister reached agreement before vaccination distribution event

Vaccination in Brazilian states is expected to start this Monday (18th). Governors requested that Minister of Health, Eduardo Pazuello, speed up the process, which was supposed to start Wednesday (20).

They reached an agreement before a planned event on Monday (18), at the logistics center of the Ministry of Health in Guarulhos, which will bring together state leaders in order to distribute the CoronaVac doses to the governors.

Before the event, the governor of Goiás, Ronaldo Caiado (DEM), said that the start of vaccination by governor João Doria (PSDB) puts the other states in a "subordinate" situation.

Vice-Governor Rodrigo Garcia (DEM), Representing the state of São Paulo, will be present at the event. Doria, whose early vaccination start has displeased some governors, is unlikely to attend.
