Faced with requests from states and municipalities, the Armed Forces refused to sharee infirmary and ICU beds with civilians, although there are vacancies available in military hospitals, according to information from a document sent by the Ministry of Defense to Covid's CPI in the Senate.

The document is signed by Minister Walter Braga Netto. Requests were made by the Federal District, Rio Grande do Sul, Rio Grande do Norte, Amazonas and the municipality of Xanxerê, in Santa Catarina.

The folder did not detail when the state governments requested the beds, but the spreadsheets delivered to the CPI show that, in different periods from January to April this year, there were vacancies.

Until then, an audit by the TCU (Federal Audit Court) had detected requests for vacancies in hospitals formulated by the Government of the Federal District, with a denial by the military.
