Brazil Surpasses 150 Million People with The First Dose of The Vaccine against Covid

The country reached 602,000 deaths and more than 21.6 million people infected with the coronavirus

Brazil surpassed this Thursday (14) the mark of 150 million immunized with the first of two doses against Covid, which is equivalent to 71% of the population.

The day before, the country had registered 100 million completely vaccinated individuals (47% of the total). There are more than 21.6 million who have already been infected by the coronavirus.

Despite the late start of vaccination, which did not prevent the deaths of more than 602,000 people, and controversies with the acquisition of vaccines, the Brazilian campaign has surpassed that of developed countries.

With high adherence, hospitalizations have plummeted across the country.
