Amid a roaring Coronavirus pandemic in Brazil, President Jair Bolsonaro made an appearance at a Sunday protest gathering and told the crowd that the federal government "has given all the support" to care for Covid-19 patients and that the country will come out stronger after this pandemic.

Before Bolsonaro's arrival at the protest, presidential security guards asked the protesters to remove banners against Congress and the Supreme Court. One called the two bodies "saboteurs" and called for a new constitution.

"Pure manifestation of democracy. I am very honored with this. The federal government has given all the support to assist people who contracted the virus and we hope to be free of this issue soon, for the good of all of us. Brazil, I'm sure, sure, will come back stronger", declared Bolsonaro.

In a nod to Congress, the target of attacks in previous acts, Bolsonaro spoke of providing "better days for our population, especially by the Legislative and Executive branches."
