Disapproval of Congress Rises to 44%, According to Datafolha

Amid the institutional crisis, only 13% of those interviewed consider the action of the congresspersons to be excellent or good

São Paulo

Amid the institutional crisis caused by President Jair Bolsonaro, the image of Brazil's legislative branch has eroded.

For 44% of Brazilians, the work of federal congresspersons and senators is bad or terrible.

This is according to a Datafolha survey carried out between the 13th and 15th of September.

In December 2019, 45% thought the congressional work was bad or terrible, numerically the worst mark of the current legislature. The approval rating is worsening: in July, 38% of Brazilians disapproved of congress members.
