Attorney General's Office Asks Supreme Court for Authorization to Investigate Minister of Education

According to Aras, Milton Ribeiro, at no time, denied or pointed to falsehood in the content published by the press

The Attorney General of the Republic, Augusto Aras, requested authorization from the Federal Supreme Court (STF) to investigate the Minister of Education, Milton Ribeiro.

The investigation request comes after Folha revealed an audio in which Ribeiro says that the Jair Bolsonaro (PL) government prioritizes city governments whose requests for funding were negotiated by pastors who have no position and work in an informal scheme to obtain funds from the government.

The attorney general’s office asked for the investigation of Ribeiro to investigate suspicion of the practice of the crimes of passive corruption, influence peddling, prevarication and administrative law. It also requested an inquiry into pastors Gilmar Santos and Arilton Moura.
