The presidents of the Federal Supreme Court (STF), Luiz Fux, and the Senate, Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG), met this Tuesday (3) and released public proclamations in defense of the electoral process and harmony between Powers.

Shortly after Pacheco, Fux met with Defense Minister General Paulo Sérgio Nogueira de Oliveira in his office and said he had heard from the Army officer that the Armed Forces are committed to Brazilian democracy and the normality of elections.

The two positions occur after consecutive attacks by Jair Bolsonaro (PL) on the Supreme and the Superior Electoral Court and the participation of the president of the Republic in an act against the court last Sunday (1st).

In a note, the Supreme Court stated that Fux and Pacheco "talked about their commitment to harmony between the Powers, with due respect for constitutional rules."

In the second communiqué of the day, regarding Fux's conversation with General Oliveira, the Supreme Court stated that "the Defense Minister stated that the Armed Forces are committed to Brazilian democracy and that the military will act, within the scope of their competences, to that the electoral process proceeds normally and without incident."
