Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) maintains the leadership of the presidential race, with 50% of valid votes in the first round, as shown by the new Datafolha poll. Jair Bolsonaro (PL) was at 36%, oscillating one point up.
The poll's margin of error, in which 6,800 voters were polled, is plus or minus two points. With this, and with 2% undecided, the possibility of the dispute being sealed by the PT in the first round, on Sunday, the 2nd, remains open.
Ciro Gomes (PDT) and Simone Tebet (MDB) continue in third and fourth place, with respectively 6% and 5% of valid votes.
To avoid the second round, a candidate needs 50% of the valid votes (blank and null not included) plus one.
When asked who they would absolutely not vote for, 52% of voters named the current president and 39% his predecessor.
The PT candidate's number is better known by those who choose him (91%) than that of the current president among those who declare that they would vote for him (84%).
