Conservative, Jessicão (Progressive Party) says the objective is to protect children and adolescents in the municipality

Rio de Janeiro

If it depends on the wishes of councilor Jessicão, the wave of erotic goodies that have generated long lines in São Paulo and spread to other Brazilian cities will not reach Londrina, about 400 kilometers from Curitiba, in Paraná.

Conservative and former leader of the organization Direita Paraná Oficial, she presented last Monday (16) a bill to prohibit the sale of these products in bars, restaurants, cafeterias, trailers and similar in the municipality.

"This is a harmful commercial segment that hurts morale, embarrasses the family, children and adolescents by exposing them to something vexing," says the justification of the project, which provides for punishments such as warning, suspension of activities, daily fine of up to Rs. $500 and even loss of license.

"The objective of the present proposal is to protect, above all, our children and our adolescents," continues the text. "It is not only the family's duty to pay attention to the protection of children and adolescents, but also of society."

The councilor told Folha that she decided to present the law after seeing a trailer selling sweets in the form of sexual organs.

In São Paulo, crepes at Assanhadxs became famous at the beginning of the year, a store located on the Calçadão Urbanoid, a kind of food truck meeting in Baixo Augusta. The high demand generated queues of more than an hour for the products, called Crepipi and Crepepeka.
