"Garota de Ipanema", a classic song by Tom Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes, is the most recorded Brazilian song of all time.

The song, written in 1962, reached the top position in a survey by Ecad, the entity responsible for collecting and distributing copyright in the phonographic industry.

To date, the song has been covered 442 times by national and international artists, in addition to appearing in audiovisual productions. It had already occupied first place in the last ranking, which may vary according to new songwriting registrations.

"Garota de Ipanema" helped to consolidate bossa nova in the world and was given an English version, "The Girl from Ipanema". In 1965, it won the Grammy for Record of the Year.

In second place on the list, there is a tie between "Aquarela do Brasil", written by Ary Barroso in the 1930s, and "Carinhoso", composed by Pixinguinha and Braguinha in 1968, both with 430 recordings.
