"Every day we open a drawer, we find a negative surprise," said defined Ronaldo, this Tuesday (11), about the analysis that he and his team have carried out regarding the situation at Cruzeiro.
In the first interview he gave after announcing his intention to invest BRL 400 million and acquire 90% of the shares in the Minas Gerais club's Sociedade Anônima do Futebol, the former player said that the institution's debt is greater than he expected ("one billion, I would say").
He confirmed that the possibility of withdrawing from the deal is foreseen in the pre-contract. "Technically, yes. In the contract, there is this way out," he said, before saying that that's not the plan now.
"It's far from my head and my thoughts to give up on the project. At the moment, we are in the process of analyzing the club: understanding the size of the hole, the debt, and understanding the creditors. My wish is to continue."
"We found a really tragic scenario at the club, but we have to stop the bleeding," concluded the former striker of the Brazilian team.
