The coach of the Brazilian artistic gymnastics team, Iryna Ilyashenko, says that her adrenaline is low after the medals recently won by her team at the Paris Games. "When all this ends, the emotion drops, the adrenaline drops, everything drops."

A native of Dnipro, Ukraine, and naturalized Brazilian, Iryna has been coaching the team since 1999. Her arrival, along with her compatriot Oleg Ostapenko, completely changed the direction of the team. The level of training demands increased, and names like Daiane dos Santos and Daniele Hypolito emerged, taking Brazil to another level in competitions around the world.

Iryna states that the gold won by Rebeca Andrade in the floor final against Simone Biles on Monday (5th) was a surprise. And she ventures to say that the American, considered the greatest of all time, should not remain in competitions for much longer. "I have never seen Biles fall the way she fell, you know? I think she can’t take it anymore, she has reached her limit," she says.
