The group of Americans from the so-called Millionaire Social Circle who came to Brazil through the course on how to "pick up women" is being investigated by the 34th Police Department, located in Morumbi, in the western region of São Paulo. In a note, the Secretariat of Public Security states that the occurrence was registered as favoring prostitution or "another form of sexual exploitation and of promoting, enticing, transporting, transferring, buying, lodging or hosting sexual exploitation".

According to the cabinet, the case was registered this Wednesday (15), by the Electronic Police Station, by a 27-year-old victim who met a man, still unidentified, through a dating app and that he invited her to a party. "At the site, there were foreign men who took pictures and videos of her to promote a course on relationships. The facts occurred on the 26th", reports the cabinet.

At least two women who were at the party and were interviewed by Folha on condition of anonymity say that they did not know about the course and that, therefore, they felt deceived.

After the repercussion of the case on social networks, the members of the Millionaire Social Circle did a live stream in which they claim that they were victims of the cancelation culture in Brazil and that they were falsely accused of sex tourism and human trafficking and of promoting prostitution.

To Folha, the group denies that the party is connected with the course and claims that they were in São Paulo to hold a "dating conference". "We want people to know what we do. Everything is public."
