On one side, the Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) government mobilized itself once and for all in favor of approving the so-called Fake News Bill, an operation ran in Congress by the Speaker of the House , Arthur Lira (PP-AL), a former supporter of the measure.

Parliamentarians also reported, in a reserved manner, a behind-the-scenes pressure coming from the STF (Federal Supreme Court). This Tuesday, Justice Alexandre de Moraes determined that the Federal Police take depositions from the "presidents or equivalents" of the big techs within five days regarding the offensive made by these companies against the Bill.

On the opposite side of the bill are Bolsonarists, most of the evangelical section of congress and the big techs. Some critics have dubbed the bill "Censorship Bill".
