Those who have a confirmed link to the vandalism will be indicted and sent to Papuda prison.

Moraes also decided to remove the governor of the Federal District, Ibaneis Rocha, accused of leniency.

The heads of the three Powers manifested unity in the face of the attacks. They released a joint note of repudiation and met with governors at the Presidential Palace. President Lula declared that "they [vandals] want a coup, and there won't be a coup".

Afterward, the president and the other authorities walked through the Three Powers Square towards the Federal Supreme Court.
