The Chinese embassy in Brazil said on Tuesday (24) that deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro (PSL-SP) is following the lead of the United States and slandering China. It also asked that Brazil abandon American rhetoric to avoid "negative consequences."

The statement, posted on social networks, is a response to the announcement made on Monday (23) by the deputy, who is chairman of the Foreign Affairs and National Defense Commission of the Chamber.

On Twitter, Eduardo said that the Clean Network program, which Brazil supports, aims to protect its participants from invasions and breaches of private information. According to him, the initiative removes Chinese technology and avoids spying from the Asian country.

"This occurs with the repudiation of entities classified as aggressive and enemies of freedom, like the Communist Party of China," added the deputy, who later deleted part of the publications.

In response, also via Twitter, the Asian country's embassy said the deputy accused China of doing cyber-espionage and stressed that he defended the initiative that discriminates against Chinese 5G technology.
